Min Seong Kim, D.M.D.
Dr. Min Seong Kim embarked on his journey into the world of dentistry fueled by a deep-rooted passion for science and a significant influence from a childhood mentor who was a dentist. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Stonehill College, Easton, MA, in 2013, he was drawn to the hands-on and personal aspects of dental care. His initial curiosity blossomed during his freshman year through shadowing opportunities, which solidified his decision to pursue dentistry as a career where he could blend his love for science with patient care.
Continuing his educational pursuit, Dr. Kim attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his D.M.D. in 2018, graduating with honors in community oral health and clinical periodontics. His commitment to excellence in dentistry led him to complete his Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Here, he received the prestigious ‘Harry W.F. Dressel Jr. Award of Clinical Excellence in General Dentistry’, a testament to his dedication and skill in general dentistry, graduating as the top resident of his class in 2021.
Settling in Washington D.C., a city whose vibrancy and significance echo his upbringing in Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Kim enjoys the dynamic environment and looks forward to making meaningful contributions to the community.
Personal Life
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Kim leads an active lifestyle, which is crucial in managing the physical demands of dentistry. He engages in sports such as ice hockey and golf and maintains a rigorous fitness routine. Committed to giving back, he participates in local and international volunteer efforts. Despite his active schedule, he cherishes downtime at home in Arlington, VA, with his wife, finding balance in relaxation and activity. Although his family resides in Korea, the values and connections he maintains across continents continue to shape his personal and professional life.

Dr. Dan is the best dentist ever. Most recently I was treated for a gum abscess which led to a root canal on a tooth with a crown and two courses of antibiotics.
